A day in the life of Charlie ... Meow me!

This diary all came about when we went to the Dr.'s the other day to have my eyes looked at since my one pupil won't close, has blood in it and I have a bit of haze in there. The Dr.s told my owner that I was slowly going blind in one eye and they had to do a battery of blood tests to see what I have that is causing this. The results will come today hopefully so we will know what's wrong. Because of this and the fact that I love my family I wanted to leave a history from my eyes that once could see very well and have now with age, started to diminish. I want my family and others both human and feline to know and remember what I felt and thought at the different times in my life. The only way to do that was through a diary/journal and my owners help.
Well to start off, this cats owners/captors for the last several years have been treating me so well that I thought I would share what my life is like. Course, I can't type and I can't talk but I share my feelings everyday in everyway and with the help of my captor/owner/friend I can now speak up and vent as well as share my joy to others out there.
My parents adopted me when I was just a baby and have had me now for about 15 years. I am approximately 105 yrs old in cat years and while I am still able to share my life I would like to be able to do just that. At times life is fun but it's also challenging for those of us that are of the 4 legged variety. I am a mixed short hair and I never did know my birth mom. But my adopted mother and father have always been my joy as well as my vexation. I have 3 little sisters as well. 2 of my sisters are of the human kind and one is of my kin but not in the blood relation way.
Have you ever wondered what a cat thinks when you bring in small children to the mix..? Well, for me it was: "What were you thinking..??!! You have me, why do you need them!?" But now I see it was inevitable. I remember the joy of my owners when they were telling me and my feline sister about their happy news. I could have cared less. I thought it no more then a cat joke. I turned tail, looked over my shoulder, lifted my head up high and made a short snort that to most would have sounded like a sneeze but in cat tongue means "yeah, whatever." I then promptly walked away. Much to my surprise a few weeks later we moved and they stuffed me into a cat carrier, to which I still resent, and was sent to a new home with my feline sister and my adoptive parents. Shortly there after all kinds of weird stuff showed up in the house, namely in the extra room which I had taken as my quiet place. I loved to waste away the hours in my personal heaven, that one room.
Strange things showed up, boxes and wrapping were all over the place. While my feline sister, Princess, jumped into a few and tried to ambush me as I would walk past. My parents were busy with all these new things. Some strange huge looking box things with bars much like my very disliked carrier were brought in. I thought "What in the heck goes in there??" (That question wasn't answered until a few months after the fact.) Then came these odd dangly things that played music. These got attached to the cage looking item but before they attached them I thought they were for me and so I played with them as many normal a cat would do. BIG MISTAKE. My parents scolded me and booted me away from the new toy that I thought was mine. Upset and board with them I shredded the sheet looking thing that hang from the cage. That got me booted from the room for the rest of the day.....
Well, that's all that I will have my owner write on my behalf for today. I hope you all enjoyed this look into my past. I will have my owner write more of my memories tomorrow. With any luck soon I will have photo's added that correspond to my entries.
Take care and a Meow to all!
Charlie ~
